Member Events Coming Up Across the Metro

We're rockin' and rollin' right along! TLC organizers and members are working hard to prepare for two big events this summer.

• TLC east metro event: August 5 (7-8:30pm)
• Moving Minnesota Forward: Celebrate Transportation Choices. An all-member TLC event! Sunday, August 22 (12-2pm) at Minnehaha Park Pavilion.

Let's show the east metro a little love! TLC members and supporters are getting together to forge a path for better transit, bicycling and walking in St. Paul and surrounding communities. Speakers include Ramsey County Commissioner Toni Carter and TLC co-founder Barb Thoman. Transit corridors are slowly moving forward (Rush Line in the NE and Red Rock in the SE), Active Living Ramsey Communities is bringing together cyclists and walkers, St. Paul has a new transportation committee, and the St. Paul Bicycle Coalition is creating momentum. Come on down and help us groove into a new era for the east metro.

Moving Minnesota Forward: Celebrate Transportation Choices

Moving Minnesota Forward is being planned and led by TLC members as a celebration for transit riders, bikers, walkers, and people interested in expanding transportation choices in their communities—whether urban or suburban.

We’ll have information, games, prizes, and chances for people to share about their own experiences and interest in transit, biking, and walking. We will also be joined by elected officials who will speak about the work they’re doing to help create a more equitable, multi-modal transportation system in Minnesota.

You can help in lots of ways, from spreading the word to helping create materials, games, and informational handouts. For the day of the event we need people to staff tables, direct people to the park pavilion, and help facilitate small group discussions.
